# Instroc

> Instroc turns a description into a working web app, then hosts it. Each app
> gets a database, user accounts, file storage, scheduled jobs and payments
> without the person building it setting any of that up. Apps publish to an
> instroc.app subdomain or a custom domain.

## What it is for

People who want a working product rather than a prototype: internal tools,
booking and ordering apps, membership sites, client work, small storefronts.
No coding required, but the generated source is real React and can be read
and downloaded on any plan. Editing it in the built in code editor comes
with the paid plans.

## Plans

Subscription plans buy AI credits, which are spent when the AI builds or
changes an app. Paid plans also include a monthly cloud allowance, which covers
what published apps use while they run. Free accounts get a cloud allowance
once, when the account is created, rather than every month.

- Free: $0, 30 credits/month, $5.00 of cloud usage included once, at signup. Try Instroc with everything you need to ship a first app.
- Hobby: $6/month, 40 credits/month, $5.00/month of cloud usage included. Keep building past the free limits, with no Instroc badge.
- Starter: $15/month, 100 credits/month, $10.00/month of cloud usage included. For hobbyists and weekend builders.
- Pro: $40/month, 250 credits/month, $20.00/month of cloud usage included. For professionals and freelancers shipping real products.
- Business: $80/month, 500 credits/month, $25.00/month of cloud usage included. For teams and agencies collaborating across multiple apps.

## Cloud rates

Published apps are billed by usage, in United States dollars. Usage comes out
of the allowance above first. Anything past the allowance is charged
against a balance the account holder tops up. A hard cap is on by default, so
apps pause rather than run up a bill; it can be switched to a soft cap that
keeps them serving. A Free account that has spent its one-time allowance and
holds no balance returns an error to visitors until it tops up or subscribes.

- File storage: $0.02 per GB per month
- Database storage: $1.00 per GB per month
- Requests: $1.00 per million
- Records read: $0.10 per million
- Records written: $1.50 per million
- Integration calls: $1.50 per million
- Bandwidth: $0.05 per GB

Each app gets its own database, capped at 10 GB.

There is no platform fee, no per-seat charge and no charge for a published app
