Hosting your apps is paid from a Cloud allowance: $5 once on Free, $5 to $25 a month on paid plans, then from a balance you top up. Prices in US dollars before tax; credits differ from tool to tool.
Base44 prints the annual-billing rate, charged once a year; each plan also carries integration credits.
Who it suits
Instroc is for people with an app idea who do not write code, and small businesses taking bookings, orders or payments online, who want hosting, a database, accounts and storage already set up.
Instroc is the wrong pick for running the whole app on your own servers: the code downloads or syncs to your repository, but the backend stays on Instroc. App Store or Google Play apps are not what it builds; Instroc builds web apps.
Asked before starting
What is a good alternative to Base44?
If your app needs to take payments or live on your own domain, Instroc does both from $6 a month on Hobby, and builds the same kind of app from a description: database, sign-in, file storage and scheduled jobs included and hosted for you. If you need an app in the App Store or Google Play, Base44 prepares those files and Instroc does not.
Is Instroc cheaper than Base44?
For a business app, usually. Instroc's paid plans start at $6 a month and include Stripe and a custom domain. On Base44's pricing page on 30 October 2026, a custom domain started at $16 a month and Stripe at $40 a month, both billed annually. Both tools have a free plan, and both meter AI building in credits that are not the same unit, so try each with your own idea.
Can an Instroc app take payments and have user accounts?
Yes. Sign-in with email, one-time codes, Google or GitHub works on every plan. Stripe payments start on Hobby: you approve the connection on Stripe's own site, money goes straight to your Stripe account, and subscriptions are recorded in your app's database against the customer, so a members-only page is one more sentence.
Can I take my app off Instroc later?
You can download the source on every plan or sync it to a GitHub repository, and the front end builds on its own. The database, accounts and scheduled jobs your app uses run on Instroc, so moving the whole app means rebuilding those parts elsewhere. If running everything on your own servers matters from day one, Instroc is the wrong pick.
