For operations teams

The tool the team keeps asking for, running by Friday.

An equipment tracker for our three warehouses: staff sign in, check a scanner or forklift in and out, anything out longer than 24 hours turns red, and every Monday at 07:00 the shift leads get the list of what is still out.

What it got with nothing to set up: sign-in and accounts · a database · scheduled jobs · emails from the app (Starter and up) · a live address.

Asked before starting

Can it run things on a schedule?
Yes. Every app can run jobs at set times: every morning, every Monday, the first of the month. Jobs that email people need Starter ($15/month) or up.
Will it work on the warehouse floor, on a phone?
Yes. Every app is a web app at its own address, so staff open it in the phone's browser with nothing to install. Photos taken on the phone go straight into the app's file storage.
Can we keep it to staff only?
Yes. Any app can require sign-in before it shows anything, on every plan. From Hobby ($6/month) an app can also be private to the members of its workspace.
Can the rest of the team edit it?
Yes, from Starter ($15/month). A workspace holds the apps, and you invite editors (Starter 5, Pro 25, Business 100) and as many viewers as you like, free. Builds in a workspace are paid from that workspace's credits, so the people you invite need no plan of their own.
What does an internal tool cost?
One person can build and publish on the Free plan. Teammates who edit start at Starter ($15/month). The plans: Free $0, 30 credits a month, $5 of hosting usage once; Hobby $6/month, 40 credits a month, $5 of hosting usage a month; Starter $15/month, 100 credits a month, $10 of hosting usage a month; Pro $40/month, 250 credits a month, $20 of hosting usage a month; Business $80/month, 500 credits a month, $25 of hosting usage a month. Building spends credits; a running app spends hosting usage, and each plan includes some.
Can IT take the code?
Yes. Every app is real React and TypeScript, and you can read and download the source on every plan, Free included. From Hobby ($6/month) up you can also edit the code in the built-in editor.
Where does our data live?
Each app has its own database. A customer sees only their own records unless you decide otherwise, table by table. You can pick where an app's database lives, keep a workspace's new apps in Europe, and take a backup whenever you want. From Hobby ($6/month), a backup is also taken every day and the last 7 are kept.
