Looking for a Lovable alternative?
Instroc does the same core job as Lovable: describe an app in plain language, and an AI builds a full-stack app with a database, login, and payments, published to the web. The differences show up after the app exists, and this page walks through them honestly, including the places where Lovable is ahead.

Where the two products genuinely differ
A year ago a table like the one above would have been full of differences. It is not anymore. Both tools build capable full-stack apps, and pretending otherwise would insult your intelligence. The real split is in how payments get set up and what the tool does for you once real customers arrive.
1. Stripe without secret keys
On Lovable, you set up payments by pasting your Stripe secret key into a form in the chat. It works, but a secret key grants broad access to your Stripe account, and once you have pasted it somewhere, you are trusting every system it passes through. On Instroc, you click connect, approve the connection on Stripe's own site, and come back. There is no key to find, paste, or leak, and payouts land in your Stripe account directly.
2. Help after launch, not just before
Instroc apps come with a built-in inbox: when a visitor submits a contact form in your app, the message shows up in your project, and you can read and reply from there. Every payment is recorded in your app's own database, tied to the customer who paid and private by default, so showing premium content to paying users is a follow-up sentence rather than a project.
3. An MCP server that runs the business
Both products ship an MCP server for AI clients like Claude. Lovable's covers the development side: projects, chat, files, and deploys. Instroc's covers that too, plus the running business: reading and replying to customer messages, checking your app's data, and keeping an eye on production.
Where Lovable is ahead
Lovable is larger, older, and has a big ecosystem of tutorials, templates, and people who can help when you are stuck. Lovable Cloud includes built-in AI features your generated apps can use out of the box, which is possible on Instroc but less packaged today. And Lovable has been through scale we have not yet. If the most established tool in the category matters most to you, pick Lovable.

Is Instroc a good alternative to Lovable?
If you want the same core job done, yes: describe an app in plain language, get a working full-stack app with a database, login, and payments, published to the web. The differences show up after the app exists. Instroc connects Stripe without asking you to handle secret keys, records every payment in your app's own database tied to the customer who paid, and includes a customer inbox plus an MCP server that helps you run the app, not just build it.
What does Instroc do that Lovable does not?
Three things stood out when we checked in July 2026. First, Stripe is connected by approving the connection on Stripe's own site, with no secret key to find, paste, or leak. Second, Instroc apps come with a built-in inbox, so messages from your app's visitors land in your project where you can read and reply. Third, payments are recorded in your app's own database and your app can query them, so showing premium content to paying customers is a follow-up sentence rather than a project.
What does Lovable do better than Instroc?
Lovable is larger and older, with a big ecosystem of tutorials, templates, and people who can help when you are stuck. Lovable Cloud also includes built-in AI features your generated apps can use out of the box, which is possible on Instroc but less packaged today. And Lovable has been through scale we have not yet.
Can I try Instroc for free?
Yes. The free tier publishes a real app with a database, login, and payments to a hosted URL. The cheapest way to decide between the two tools is an afternoon with each and your own idea.
How does Stripe get set up on Instroc?
You click connect, approve the connection on Stripe's own site, and come back. Payments run against your Stripe account and payouts land there directly. There is no secret key involved at any point.
